Loneload is a heartland rock / metal / electronic / post punk Creative Commons project carried on by an italian female guitarist, songwriter, student, very junior software/telecommunications engineer and Linux fanatic :-) called Laura Liparulo.
Laura Liparulo has been playing the guitar since she was 12 and spent her early adolescence taking guitar lessons and leading classic, power and thrash metal school bands as singer and lead guitarist.
Widening he knowledge of genres through the University years so far, growing performing into hard rock and grunge hometown cover bands, as a result of a very social and musical adolescence, unluckly made of very mentally sick experiences and great troubles in the heartland, Laura slowly lost herself into a lonely songwriting until she found the courage to spread her works.
The first song that she wrote was "Rotten lone", aged 16 when she conceived the rhytmn guitar and guitar licks. But the lyrics came out in 2007, when she started crying out by rhymes.
With a semiacoustic guitar, harmonicas and a mp3 player Laura recorded her first demo in Autumn 2008.
In 2009 she started arranging her first pieces all alone with the software GuitarPro, editing all the traces herself. So she ended up recording the first release called "Love would never work".
all alone at Snakes Studios in Rome, in September 2010.
"Love would never work" was released on October the 15th 2010, under Creative Commons license BY-NC-ND 3.0. Just how it was conceived. An artistic decision: making early music, delivering good songs without following a genre, just close to the mood, free of any commercial purpose.
The second album called "Steam punk" is meant to be a groovy breakthrough in the underground, in the realms of science, technology, romance, ideals.
"Steam punk" was recorded between August and December 2011 at BuzzOff studios (in Cassino, Italy), produced by Laura Liparulo and Antonio Tronca and mastered in Miami by Anthony Tari (Perversion69) in January 2012.
All tracks by Laura Liparulo except "Free software song", which was originally written by Richard Stallman (the pioneer of the Free software movement) and "Can Can", composed by Jacques Offenbach in 1858.
